Soy Colombiano...de pura Sepa, Sepa pura. This means I am Colombian and I am proud of it. I was almost dead at birth and given an opportunity to live, therefore I love life and every time I wakeup, I am thankful; because, I have being bless with the opportunity to go out and make it, live it, re-build it, again and again no matter what the odds the Universe can manifest to me or my family; I will go at it relentlessly.
I came to the United States back in 1995 and it was no different to what we emigrants have to go through. I work in a pizzeria for a couple of moths, but I was the best dishwasher they had; then I work as a bridge painter and became a essential part of the team, soon after I work in New York as a decorator and did very well as well, but always looking for a better and brighter future and them in 2000 I came across the road that I was set out to get in the first place…”Real Estate”. Since them I work as a Real Estate Agent in one of the greatest city of all. The city that where I was born again “Brooklyn”. There I went from Maywood to Bed Stuy to Mill basin it didn’t matter who I was meeting It could have being Mr, Gustello or Mr. Duncan or Mr. Mousa , there were no frontiers or sectors, I was not afraid. In my country there is a saying and it reads like this: “Aquel que nada sabe es como aquel que nada ve” and translates “He how does not know is as one whom does not see”. I did not know about racism in my eyes they were all the same and nothing will change this ever. I have being given more opportunities by people from all types of races that from my own people; this I can not comprehend, but is OK. I have the opportunity to sell homes and rent spaces to some Colombians families or represent them in a transaction and it made me proud, I just which this could happen more often. Today I work in a firm that does exactly what I dream, we work as a very efficient team, I specialized in commercial real estate, I help customers and clients to lease or sale there homes, there businesses, there warehouses, there apartment buildings, retail stores and I get to meet so many people from so many different backgrounds with different plans for success but all looking to accomplished the same goal…is great!! !is fun and I getting to help another human being in the process. My motivation is immeasurable, I have three healthy and happy little girls and a Mother that sacrificed herself to help me get here and they are my greatest motivation and as longest I found myself able to wake up and breath and will do whatever I to do with my powers to secure there well being.
